Description
Pachyschelus lunifer Waterhouse, 1889 original combination reinstated
Pachyschelus lunifer Waterhouse, 1889: 148. Hylaeogena lunifer: Hespenheide, 1974: 106.
This species was inadvertently transferred to Hylaeogena (Hespenheide 1974). After examination, based on the genus diagnosis, it belongs to Pachyschelus and is herewith returned to the original combination. Specimen examined:
BMNH: holotype: Guatemala, Volcan de Atitlan 3000 feet (Champion).
