Zoogeographic element. Euro-Caucasian.
Distribution. Europe to Caucasus.
Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Craiova (GQ11) (Eichler 1940); Oradea (ET61) (Kuthy 1896); Cisnadioara (KL76), Sighişoara (LM21), Cluj (FS97) (all: Petri 1912, 1926); Remeţi (Bihor) (FS28) (Fleischer 1888; as Choleva velox) (Fig. 4).
