Material examinated: Brazil. Rio de Janeiro, Guapimirim, Afluente do Rio Soberbo, 26.iii.2010, 13 (DZRJ 2745), F. Avelino-Capistrano, J. L. Nessimian, L. L. Dumas & P. Souto.
Remarks. The species was described by Froehlich (1998) from specimens from Campos do Jordão (SP), Jundiaí (SP) and Poços de Caldas (MG). This new record from Rio de Janeiro State increases the distribution of this species. Tupiperla reichardti may occur in other regions of southeastern Brazil.
