Biosteres ( Chilotrichia carbonarius Fischer, 1972: 1 –620. Biosteres (Biosteres) carbonarius Fischer &Beyarslan, 2005: 27 –62. Synonyms. Opius impressus Wesmael, 1835; Opius procerus Wesmael, 1835.

Distribution in Turkey. Bursa, Kirklareli (Fischer & Beyarslan, 2005b); Artvin, Bartin, Giresun, Kastamonu, Rize, Sivas, Trabzon (Beyarslan & Fischer, 2011).

Distribution. Nearctic, Palaearctic. Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Estonia, Faeroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, USA, Yugoslavia.

Hosts. Diptera. Anthomyiidae: Delia antiqua Meigen, 1826; D. radicum (Linnaeus, 1758); Pegomyia betae (Curtis, 1847); P. bicolor (Wiedemann 1817); P. hyoscyami (Panzer, 1809) [Chenopodium hybridum]; P. nigritarsis on Zetterstedt, 1838 [Solidago virgaurea]; P. nigrisquama (Stein, 1888) (Diptera: Anthomyiidae ) [Solidago virgaurea]; P. solennis (Meigen, 1826 ) [Rumex acetosa, R. obtusifolius]; P. steini Hendel, 1925.
