Description

Subgenus Clathria Schmidt, 1862

Definition: Microcioninae with auxiliary styles in one or two categories forming various ectosomal structures; choanosomal skeleton well structured, hymedesmioid to reticulate, with styles enclosed within the fibers and echinated by acanthose styles (Hooper 2002).
