Types. Holotype. ♂, LAOS, Luang Prabang Prov., SE Luang Prabang, Nam Khan, Xieng Ngeun Distr., Ban Keng Koung, 372 m a.s.l., 19°40'963''N 102°18'442''E, waterfall, forest soil, pitfall trap, 21.–28.II.2008, leg. P. Jäger.

Etymology. The specific name is a noun derived from the Greek word “cephalos” meaning “head” and refers to the elevated head region.

Diagnosis. See diagnosis of genus.

Description. Male holotype. Total length 1.88. Carapace 0.75 long, 0.65 wide, yellow, with a broad, grey median stripe. Cephalic part elevated and carrying large posterior median eyes (Figs 26–27), cephalic pits presence, very small. Chelicerae 0.28 long. Legs pale yellow. Leg I, 3.24 long (0.78+0.23+0.85+0.88+0.50), IV, 2.94 long (0.78+0.18+0.70+0.80+0.48). Chaetotaxy 2.2.1.1, length of spines about 2–3 diameter of segment. All metatarsi with a trichobothrium. TmI, 0.82. Palp (Figs 28–32): Tibia elongated, with rounded proximal retrolateral lobe which latter carrying several long spines and a sharp retrolateral apophysis. Cymbium without outgrowths. Paracymbium with a long and narrow process below. Distal suprategular apophysis present, relatively large, hookshaped distally. Median membrane extremely long, narrow, stripe-like, surrounding palp. Membrosclerum hooklike, connected with a column by a short membrane. Radical part of embolic division small. Embolus very long and thin, forming two loops. Convector present, covering proximal part of embolus. Opisthosoma 1.05 long, 0.83 wide, pale, with a fish-bone dorsal pattern posteriorly.

Female. Unknown.

Distribution. Laos, known only from the type locality.
