Distribution in Iran. Alborz (Linnavuori 2007), Guilan (Linnavuori 2007), Kerman (Reuter 1904), Khorasan (Heiss & Linnavuori 2002; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Kordestan (Linnavuori 2010), Sistan & Baluchestan (Wagner 1957, with doubt), Tehran (Linnavuori 2007), Zanjan (Linnavuori 2007), Southern Iran (no locality cited) (Modarres Awal 1997c), Iran (no locality cited) (Farahbakhsh 1961; Kerzhner & Josifov 1999; Kment 2004; Hradil et al. 2008; Konstantinov & Namyatova 2008).
General distribution and hosts. Afghanistan, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan (Asian and European parts), Kirgizia, Moldavia, Mongolia, Slovakia, Russia, Tadjikistan, Turkey (Asian part), Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan; living on Tamarix sp. (Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997c; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2007, 2010).
