Description

Genus Leptopterna Fieber, 1858

Leptopterna ferrugata (Fallén, 1807)

Listed from East Azarbaijan by Khaghaninia et al. (2010b, 2011). Its presence in Iran on peppermint and alfalfa (Khaghaninia et al. 2011) should be verified by an analysis of the East Azarbaijan specimens studied by Khaghaninia et al. (op. cit.) (Aukema et al. 2013).

General distribution. European species, known from the Asian part of Turkey and from North America: Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories (Scudder & Schwartz 2001).
