Description
Epipsestis ornata (Leech, 1888)
Polyploca ornata Leech, 1888: 653, pl. 32: 10. Type-locality: Japan. Lectotype ♀ (BMNH).
Polyploca ornata var. unicolor Leech, 1888: 653, pl. 32: 11. Type-locality: Japan.
Sugiploca sugitanii Matsumura, 1933: 198, pl. 4, figs 11, 21. Type-locality: Japan, Honshu. Holotype ♂ (EIHU).
Remarks. The nominate subspecies is distributed in Japan. The inclusion of Europe in Zhao (2004) is a mistake.
