Type locality. Gutian Mountain, Kaihua, Zhejiang; type specimen deposits in SDU (Shandong University), Ji’nan, Shandong, China.

Discussion. This species was placed in Cosmetura based on a female. We collected males from the type locality, confirming its status. This species generally is allied to C. t-sigillata, but without remarkable markings of the vertex. The metazona of the male is not raised and the apex of the male cerci are pointed. The structure of the titillator is totally different.

Distribution. China (Zhejiang).
