Ecology. Eurybathic species, collected at depths from 44 to 952 m (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004), on muddy bottoms (Peña Cantero & García Carrascosa 1998). Epibiotic on ascidians (Peña Cantero & García Carrascosa 1998) and hydrozoans (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004). Gonothecae: January (Peña Cantero 2008) and February (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004; Peña Cantero 2006).
Distribution. West Antarctic (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004), known from the South Shetland Islands (Peña Cantero & García Carrascosa 1998; Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004; Peña Cantero 2006, 2008), the South Orkney Islands, Antarctic Peninsula and Palmer Archipelago (Peña Cantero & Vervoort 2004), and off Bouvet Island (Peña Cantero & Gili 2006).
