Chorebus (Chorebus) affinis (Nees, 1812)

Distribution in Iran. Fars (Lashkari Bod et al. 2010, 2011; Fischer et al. 2011; Khajeh et al. 2014), Khorasan (Ghahari et al. 2011a), Mazandaran (Ghahari et al. 2010a as Chorebus longicornis (Nees)).

Distribution outside Iran. Entire Europe and Madeira to Russian Far East (Fischer et al. 2011), frequent in Europe (Shenefelt 1974). Austria, Belgium, Faeroe Islands, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Madeira Islands, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine and former Yugoslavia (Yu et al. 2012), Croatia (Graeffe 1908), Czech Republic (Lozan et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012), Greece (Ferrière 1930; Papp 2007a; Yu et al. 2012), Hungary (Papp 2004a; Yu et al. 2012), Korea (Papp 2007b as Chorebus longicornis; Yu et al. 2012), Macedonia (Papp 2009b; Yu et al. 2012), Mongolia (Papp 2005a as Chorebus longicornis; Yu et al. 2012), Russia (Tobias 1998 as C. longicornis; Lelej 2012; Yu et al. 2012), Serbia (Žikić et al. 2000; Papp 2009b; Yu et al. 2012), Spain (Shenefelt 1974, Tormos 1986, Docavo et al. 1986, 1992, Francés and Jiménez 1989a; Yu et al. 2012), UK (Nixon 1937 as Dacnusa affinis; Nixon 1949 as Gyrocampa affinis; Shenefelt 1974; Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Rhopalosiphum nymphaea (L., 1761) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) (Yu et al. 2012). Also recorded from Hydrellia griseola (Fallen, 1813) (Diptera: Ephydridae) and Phytomyza rufipes Meigen, 1830 (Diptera: Agromyzidae) (Lelej 2012).
