Material examined. Thailand, Trang, Hat Chao Mai beach, 7.340904°N 99.37272°E, sweep net at dusk, 1.Oct.2012 (1 female), Pak Maeng beach, 7.505816°N, 99.313546°E, sweep net at dusk, 10. Nov.2012 (1 female), 23 Mar.2013 1 female; Phuket, 24.Apr.2009, LT (1 female); Nai Yang Beach, 8.08686°N, 98.294819°E, sweep net 8.59PM, 22.Nov.2008 (1 female).
Diagnosis. Female: The only species of Culicoides with chordate 4th tarsal segment, lacking a palpal pit and with SCo distribution of 1,(2–5),6–12.
Distribution. Brunei, Malaysia, Sarawak, Thailand (new record).
