Gericlavodes Jeannel, 1960b: 178

Diagnosis. Length 2.2−2.4 mm, head about as long as pronotum, eyes small, slightly projecting, rostrum triangular, pronotum as long as wide and slightly shorter than elytra, subglobular, lacking foveae and sulcus, elytra short, lacking basal foveae, striae and trichomes, posterior corners rounded, midlegs modified in males, abdomen about 1.5 times as long as elytra with narrow or wide transverse basal impression, paratergites with trichomes. Antennae with antennomeres I −III small, IV −V much larger, subequal, terminal antennomere more than 1.5 times as long as V, truncate at apex.

Species included. Gericlavodes breviceps Jeannel, 1951; G. kahuzicus Jeannel, 1953; G. katanganus Jeannel, 1951; G. ocellatus Jeannel, 1960.

Distribution. Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola.
