Megaselia stigmatica (Schmitz, 1920)

Material. Israel: 1♂ Almagor [32°55'N 35°36'E], 7–30.iv.2011, W. Kuslitzky, Malaise trap.

Remarks. This is a widespread but uncommon European species is recorded in Israel for the first time. The species is easily recognized among other Israeli Megaselia in having greatly enlarged abdominal spiracles.
