Hydropsyche bryanti Banks 1939, 490–491, pl. 4, figs 35, 38, 42, [Indonesia] Java; Malicky & Chantaramongkol 2000, male redescribed, reported from Indonesia (Java, Sumatra); Malicky 2007b, reported from Indonesia (Sumatra); Oláh & Johanson 2008, belonging to the Hydropsyche formosana Species Group; Malicky et al. 2014, listed from Indonesia (Java, Sumatra).

Distribution. Indonesia (Java, Sumatra), Taiwan (Nantou County).

Material examined. Taiwan, Nantou County, Huesun Forest Area, 16 km E of Kuohsing, 24o00’N, 121o00’E, 560 m elevation, by light trapping, 29–30 October 1996, leg. Tibor Csővári & Csaba Szabóky, 1 male (coll. Ottó Kiss).
