Material examined. 3 subadult males (MGAB CUM 1793), El Seco, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 18°07'24.8520"N, 65°12'05.7600"W; 3 subadult males (MGAB CUM 1792), San Cristobal reef, La Parguera, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 17°56'28.68"N, 67°04'34.75"W, September 6, 2012, 3 m; 2 subadult males (MGAB CUM 1765), Mona Island, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 18°2.768’N 67°52.712’W, associated with rhodoliths, 73.1 m, January 13, 2010; 3 subadult males (MGAB CUM 1797), North of Buoy 4, western Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 18°02'21.8040"N, 67°24'16.0200"W, April 30, 2012, 70 m; 1 subadult male, 1 subadult female (broken) (MGAB CUM 1767), shelf edge, La Parguera, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, exact GPS information is not available, 2008– 2009, 45– 60 m, collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas.

Diagnosis. Carapace of female with short serration on antero-ventral margin, uropodal peduncle 1.13 times pleonite 6 length, 3 medial setae, endopod with 2 setae on medial margin. Male uropodal peduncle 1.44 times pleonite 6 length, 7 medial setae, endopod with 5 medial setae.

Remarks This species was earlier reported from Florida, Bahamas and Belize; this is the first record of the species from Puerto Rico.

Distribution. Florida (Băcescu & Muradian, 1977), Bahamas (Abaco Island) (Petrescu, 1996), Belize (Petrescu, 2002), Bahamas (Exuma Island) (Petrescu, 2003), Costa Rica (Petrescu et al., 2003), Puerto Rico (present record). Depth range: 0.5–73.1 m.
