Subgenus Anilomyia Varg as
Anilomyia Vargas, 1960: 37 (as subgenus of Culicoides). Type species, Culicoides covagarciai Ortíz (orig. des.). Refs.: Wirth & Blanton, 1956b (key to males and females of covagarciai group); Wirth & Blanton, 1970c (key to key to males and females of nigrigenus group).
