Zele albiditarsus Curtis, 1832

Distribution in Iran. Alborz (Farahani and Talebi 2012; Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015).

Distribution outside Iran. Belgium (Wesmael 1835 as Perilitus dispar), Bulgaria (Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013), China, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Nepal, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine, former Yugoslavia (Stigenberg and Ronquist 2011; Yu et al. 2012), Canada (van Achterberg 1979; Yu et al. 2012; Sharanowski et al. 2014), Czech Republic (Lozan et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012), Hungary (Papp 1973, 2006; Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013), Poland (Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013), Mexico (González-Hernández 2004; Yu et al. 2012), Mongolia (Papp 2009b), Norway (Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg and Hansen 2013), Serbia (Papp 2010), Turkey (Yilmaz et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012), UK (Marshall 1887 as Meteorus albiditarsus; Marshall 1889 as Zele testaceator; Broad and Shaw 2009; Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013; Knowler and Broad 2014).

Host records. It is recorded as a solitary endoparasitoid on the prepupal and pupal stages of several lepidopteran and hymenopteran hosts (Yu et al. 2012). Stigenberg and Shaw (2013) reported this species from Panolis flammea (Denis & Schiffermüller) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), Epirrita dilutata (Denis & Schiffermüller), and Erannis defoliaria (Clerck) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae).
