3. Synophis zaheri Pyron, Guayasamin, Peñafiel, Bustamante, & Arteaga, 2015

Range. Pacific Andean slopes of southwestern Ecuador, El Oro province, ~ 800–900m. Description. Adult size ~ 350–370mm SVL and ~ 180–190mm TL in males, smooth nuchal scales; no nuchal collar; intranasals in contact; 2 postoculars; 8–9 infralabials; 8 supralabials; 166–169 ventrals; 111–112 subcaudals; and 19-19-17 dorsal scale-rows with single, weak keel.

Notes. Known only from the holotype and paratype.
