Distribution in Iran: Fars (Horák 1985 as Paratomoxioda fallaciosa), Iran (no locality cited) (Horák 2008 as P. fallaciosa).

General distribution: Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan.

Comments: A careful review of the material available led to the conclusion that Paratomoxioda fallaciosa Stchegoleva-Barovskaya, 1930 should be transferred to the genus Mediimorda.
