Batriscenellus orientalis (Löbl, 1973)
(Fig. 2 B, 4A)
Material examined. 2 exs, labeled ‘ CHINA: Shanghai, Minhang District, Bingjiang Wetland Park (滨江湿地公园), 31°01'06"N, 121°28'41"E, alt 5 m, 15.viii.2011, Z.- W. Yin leg’; 1 ex., same locality and collector, except ‘ 8.iv.2012 ’. (all in SNUC).
Distribution. Korean Peninsula; China: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Taiwan.
Comments. Löbl (1973) described this species from North Korea, and 34 paratypes collected by H. Sauter from ‘ Akan, Hokkaido, Japan’ in December 1907 were included in the type series. However, according to Nomura (2004) and Shibata et al. (2013), the ‘ Akan’ was probably a misreading of ‘ Akau’ in Taiwan, where Sauter collected many pselaphines in the same month and year. Therefore, B. orientalis was excluded from the Japanese pselaphine fauna. This species was firstly reported from China (Zhejiang and Shanghai) by Yin et al. (2011: 47). Additional collecting data from the same location (Fig. 4 A) further confirms the presence of this species in Shanghai.
