Atopida villosa Broun 1921: 534. Macfarlane et al. 2011: 420 (catalogue).
Type locality. Pakuratahi.
Broun number: 4061.
Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, “4061.” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Pakuratahi \ 2.1.1915 ” [in Broun’s hand], “ Atopida \ villosa ” [in Broun’s hand].
Remarks. Broun (1921) studied a single specimen collected on 2.01.1915 by H. W. Simmonds at Pakuratahi near Wellington.
