Several new fluorine-containing spiro(3H-indole-3,5'-isoxazolin]-2(1H)-ones have been synthesised by the reaction of 3-aroylmethyleneindol-2-ones with hydroxylamine hydrochloride. The former reactant& were obtained by the reaction of indole-2,3-dione with methyl ketones followed by dehydration. Representative compounds gave promising result& when screened for antibacterial and antifungal activity.
