Montana decticiformis Stshelkanovtzev 1914

Description

Montana decticiformis (Stshelkanovtzev, 1914) —song type I—Fig. 7C1.

Localities: Kazakhstan, ENE Shatpe, stony-clay semidesert, 160–190 m a.s.l., N 44°13', E 52°05', 12.vi.2016, one male, leg. D. Chobanov. Kazakhstan, N Zharmysh, stony canyon with semidesert vegetation, 215 m a.s.l., N 44°08', E 53°16', 14.vi.2016, one male, leg. D. Chobanov.

The calling song consists of long sequences (up to 1 min recorded) of pairs of syllables (di-syllabic echemes). Occasionally several syllables follow directly one after another (Fig. 7 C1).
