All z>5.7 quasars currently known

  • 1. Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics

Description

Quasars at redshifts z>5.7 are of wide applicability to astronomy. Follow-up observations of these objects have lead to advances in the fields of reionisation, galaxy formation, and AGN physics among many others. The online dataset "All z>5.7 quasars currently known" aims to regroup in one place all publicly known quasars at z>5.7, along with their sky coordinates, redshifts, and references to the papers which first announced their discovery. The criteria for inclusion are described in detail in the "Read-me" file. The list is continuously updated upon public announcements of new z>5.7 quasars.
