Difflugiella apiculata Cash, 1904

Original description. Cash 1904, P. 225, Table 21, Fig.7.

Description. Shell ovoid, not compressed laterally, chitinous, smooth, transparent, colorless, without mineral particles, aperture circular. Cytoplasm colorless.

Measurements. Shell length 40 µm, shell width 28–30 µm.

Habitat. Freshwater, Sphagnum mosses, wet green mosses, on the surface of aquatic algae and plants.

Geographical distribution. England, Russia, Germany, Romania.
