Gambaré coll., 1 female, 1 juvenile (IBSP 166485).

Diagnosis. Males of S. gugai sp. nov. resemble those of S. peri sp. nov. in the long bulb keels (Figs 12–14), but can be distinguished by the retrolateral keel being ca. half the length of the bulb (Fig. 14) with a triangular apex and diagonal embolus tip (Figs 12, 14). Females resemble those of S. leticiae sp. nov. by the spermathecal base being anteriorly developed, covering the basal dome (Figs 15, 16), but can be distinguished by the absence of an anterior projection where a receptaculum originates (Figs 15, 16), and the abdomen with discernible dorsal chevron (Fig. 4).

Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of Gustavo Kuerten, known by the nickname, Guga. He is a retired former professional tennis player who was born in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. He won several tournaments, among them, three Grand Slam/Roland Garros, one Masters Cup and five Masters Series. In 2000, he reached the No. 1 position in world ranking of Association of Tennis Professionals. He has received honors from several institutions related to tennis and social activities.
