Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 6) wingspan 29.0– 38.5 mm. This species is diagnostic by the forewing with both ante- and postmedial lines straight and having a smaller yellow costal spot about 1/4 length of the forewing. It is similar to O. flaviplaga in the male genitalia, but can be distinguished from the latter by the distal process of the gnathos about half the length of the uncus, and the tegumen with a rod-shaped ventral process at each side in the male genitalia (Fig. 17). In O. flaviplaga, the distal process of the gnathos is about 2/3 the length of the uncus, and the tegumen lacks the ventral process in the male genitalia (Fig. 18).

Distribution. China (Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hebei, Henan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Zhejiang).

Remarks. This species was wrongly identified as O. flaviplaga (Walker, 1863) by Li & Wang (2009), and the authors correct the identification here.
