Description
Terebra subtextilis Smith, 1879

Type locality: ‘ Station 21. Between south-western extremity of Niphon and the island of Shikoku, 33°45½’ N. lat., 132°30’ E. long.; 22 fathoms’.
Label locality: ‘ Japan’.
Collector: H.C. St. John, H.M.S. Sylvia.
Presented: J.G. Jeffreys.
Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1878.10.16.28. Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 220).
