Description

Ceratosoma sp.

Material examined. Five specimens. MB28-005071, ZAR, 0 9 Aug. 2011, 30m, 12mm; MHN-YT415, ZD, 0 3 Jun. 2012, 32m, 3mm; MB28-00 5072, POR, 0 7 May 2014, 15m, 10mm; MB28-005073, POC, 0 8 May 2014, 18m, 21mm; MB28-005074, ZY, 24 Feb. 2015, 31m, 7mm.

Habitats. Subtropical tidal reefs and rocky reefs.

Occurrences. Ponta do Ouro and Zavora.

Geographic distribution. Indo-west, central Pacific. Hawaii, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Guam, Philippines, Indonesia, Seychelles, Madagascar (Gosliner et al. 2008), South Africa (Gosliner 1987) and Mozambique.
