(Figs 29–32)

Holotype male seen; in good condition.

Diagnosis. Postsutural dorsocentrals 3; anterior postsutural intralar absent; fore tibia with a posterior median seta; mid femur with 2 preapical setae; mid tibia with 1 posterior seta and without anterodorsal seta; hind tibia with or without a posterodorsal seta; lower katepisternal seta more or less equidistant from the other two; costal spine indistinct, wing with costal margin infuscated; costal spine distinct; sternite 5 as in Fig. 29.

Terminalia. Cercal plate and surstylus as in Figs 30–31. Aedeagal complex as in Fig. 32.

Notes. This was originally described as a subspecies of Limnophora majuscula Emden, 1951, with a few morphological differences pointed out in the original description. One male paratype was dissected and the morphology of the terminalia is quite different from that of L. majuscula. The subspecies is herewith elevated to species rank.
