Description
Limnophora flavitarsis Stein in Becker, 1908: 99.
This western Mediterranean species (Canary Islands and Corsica) was recorded by Stein (1913: 515) from the Transvaal, South Africa, but this record has not been repeated and the identification seems very doubtful.

Published as part of Couri, Márcia & Pont, Adrian, 2017, Afrotropical Limnophora Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera, Muscidae) with the description of four new species, pp. 501-536 in Zootaxa 4216 (6) on page 511, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.242395
