Description
Bathyferdina nov. gen
Etymology. The genus name is derived from the Greek bathos for “depth” and the type genus Ferdina in reference to the much deeper depth inhabited by the type species relative to the other Ferdina species.
Type species. Bathyferdina aireyae n. sp. (by monotypy). Diagnosis. As for species.
