Complexes of 4-amino-5-oxo-3-thioxo-6 methyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazine (mtH) having the stoichiometry M(mt)₂.nH₂O (where M=Co^II, Ni^ll, Cu^II, Zn^II, Cd^II or Hg^II ; n=0 or 2), Zn(mt)₂(NH₃), M(mtH)X₂ (where, M -Cu^ll or Cd^II, X=Cl or Br; M=Co^II, X= 1/2 SO₄ H₂O)  and M(mtH)₂X₂. nH₂O (where, M=Cu^II, X=NO₂ or 1/2 SO₄ , n=2; M=Ni^ll; X=Cl or NO₂ , n=2; M=Hg^II, X=Cl, n=0) have been prepared and characterised by magnetic, conductance, uv and ir spectral data.
