Description
Neoceratitis efflatouni (Hendel, 1931)
Ceratitis efflatouni Hendel, 1931b: 3. Holotype. Egypt (Gebel Elba: Mersa [Marsa] Halaib) (ESEC). Holotype seems to be destroyed.
Distribution. AF: Egypt [Gebel Elba]. PA: Egypt, Israel, Saudi Arabia.
Egyptian localities. Eastern Desert: Ghoubbet El-Bous. Gebel Elba: Wade Edeib.
Host plants. Unknown in Egypt. However, In Israel: Lycium schweinfurthii Dammer (Solanaceae). Source: De
Meyer & Freidberg (2012).
Dates of collection. January to July.
