Trachytes balazyi Wiśniewski & Hirschmann, 1994: 90.
Material examined. Three females. USA, Virginia, Bland county, west side of Big Walker Mountain, 1500m, ca 6 km E of Sharon springs, northern hardwoods, 9 May 1981, collected by R.L. Hoffman. Three females. USA, Virginia, Floyd County, Buffalo Mountain, south slope at 1100m ex Berlese, 29. December 2003, collected by R.L. Hoffman.
Notes. This species was described from Tennessee, and it is now recorded from Virginia for the first time.
