Type species. Gryllus brachypterus Haan, 1844
Subgeneric diagnosis. Recently, a revised key and diagnostic standard of the genus Duolandrevus Kirby were published (Gorochov, 2016). This new subgenus can distinguish from other subgenera by: male hind wings usually distinctly or slightly protruding behind the posterior margin of metanotum; male anal plate with widely rounded or truncate apex; genitalia usually with dorsal denticle at lateral epiphallus lobes, but some species are indistinct; epiphallus usually without distinct transverse fold and without lateral parts of this fold.
Distribution. Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China.
