Material examined. Tamil Nadu: DABFUK, 1 male (TL 82 mm), Arabian Sea off Muttom, 7 October 2016; DABFUK, 1 male (TL 90 mm), Arabian Sea off Muttom, 7 October 2016.
Remarks. The present specimens represent the first records of O. cultrifer from India and the westernmost record of the species. The dactyli of the raptorial claws haVe three teeth on the occlusal margin.
Distribution. Japan to the South China Sea, Australia, the Andaman Sea, and now from India; 7–51 m (Ahyong 2001).
