Sphex sanguinolentus Fabricius, 1793:211.—Germania.
Distribution in Iran: FARS (FALAHATPISHE et al. 2016), KHORASAN (EBRAHIMI et al. 2008), MAZANDARAN, WEST AZERBAIJAN (WOLF et al. 2009— AS Homonotus balcanicus HAUPT, 1927).
