Description
Polyommatus escheri (Hübner, [1823])
—Another rare species in Montenegro. The only documented records have been published by Weiss (1975) and Sobczyk & Gligorović (2016) from the area around Podgorica, and by Kühnert (1971) who reported it from the surroundings of Igalo. The species’ host plant (Astragalus monspessulanus L.) has been recorded in the karst terrains around the capital (Stešević et al. 2014), and P. escheri has been reported from Gruda in Croatia, very near the border with Montenegro (Williams pers. comm.).
