(Fig. 6)

Ochromolopis australica Gaedike, 1968: 610, figs 18–20, 29a–29c;

Gnathifera australica (Gaedike, 1968): Gaedike, 1978: 208.

Material studied. Queensland: 1 ♀, 23°14'S, 150°49'E, 13km SSE of Yeppoon, 26.viii.1983, leg. I. F. B.

Common, ANIC, 1 ♀, 23°12'S, 150°46'E, 10 km SSE of Yeppoon, 8.ix.1981, leg. I. F. B. Common, SDEI. Distribution. New South Wales (Gaedike, 1968), Queensland (first record). Bionomics. The early stages and host plants are unknown.

The genitalia structure of the following six species G. bipunctata, G. luridicapitella sp. nov., G. queenslandi, G. acacivorella, G. fuscostriata sp. nov. and G. robinsoni sp. nov. shows a characteristic similarity in the shape of valva: subapically with a rod-shaped or digital strong sclerotized process, with rounded or with pointed tip. These species are grouped into a separate species-group.
