Remarks. D. pentheri is a widely distributed East-Mediterranean species (Szederjesi et al. 2017, Fig. 1.2). Its area stretches from the Caspian Sea to Cyprus and Rhodes from where it was described as Helodrilus (Dendrobaena) aegeus Cognetti, 1913 which name has recently been synonymized with D. pentheri (Szederjesi 2015).
