Anisepyris cariniceps Evans, 1966

Anisepyris cariniceps Evans, 1966, 9: 71–72.

Redescription, male. Body length 4.23 mm. Head and mesosoma black; wings clear hyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head wide. Flagellomeres short, with sparse and short setae. Mandible very narrow, curved, and with teeth equally wide. Median clypeal lobe angulate, short, with median tooth at apical margin. Frons coriaceous. Antennal scrobe carinate, but weak. Eye large, circumocular suture present. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli small. Vertex convex. With occipital carina strongly high. Pronotal disc as long as wide, strongly coriaceous; complete; with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus wide. Mesoscutellar sulcus wide; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present. Metapectal-propodeal disc short; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges absent; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea opened; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia not spinose. Claws trifid. Metasomal segments glabrous. Genitalia. Basiparamere longer than paramere; paramere wide, rounded, and with ventral margin convex and with dorsal margin straight, densely setose; basivolsella straight; cuspis with arms short, dorsal arm wide; aedeagus with basal portion convex and very slender, and apical portion as long basal, slender, and swollen; apodeme slender.

Material examined. Holotype, ♂, VENEZUELA, Falcon, San Esteban, I.1940 (MCZH, #31221). BRAZIL, Bahia, 1 ♂, S[an]ta Rita de Cássia, 11°00'32”S 44°31'08"W, 14–17.vii.1991, bandeja amarela, STP Amarante & CF Martins col[etores] (MZSP).

Distribution. Venezuela; Brazil: Bahia.
