Pterocryptis furnessi
Description
Pterocryptis furnessi (Fowler, 1905) BE
Silurichthys hasselti (non-Bleeker): Choy & Chin, 1994: 769 (Belalong-Temburong basin upstream of Kuala Belalong); Kottelat & Lim, 1995: 241 (Brunei).
Pterocryptis furnessi (Fowler, 1905): Kottelat & Lim, 1995: 241 (Temburong district); Sulaiman & Shahdan, 2003: 67 (Tasek Merimbun); Ng & Tan, 2004: 5 (Temburong basin, Sungai Belalong sub-basin). Remarks. Choy & Chin (1994: 768-769) recorded a ‘ Krytopterus sp.’ and a ‘ Silurus sp.’ from the Sungai
Belalong. Without examining these materials, we are unable to comment on their identification.
