Diagnosis of male. Length 2.83–2.93 mm; antennomeres IX–X enlarged, antennomere X transverse; metaventral processes short; protrochanter with short, blunt ventral projection, profemur with broad, triangular projection, protibia with small triangular projection at basal two-thirds, and with distinct apical spine; aedeagus symmetric, with median lobe narrowed apicad and bent ventrally at apex.

Description. Male (Fig. 1B). Length 2.83–2.93 mm. Head as long as wide, HL and HW 0.55–0.57 mm; eyes prominent, each composed of about 32 facets. Antenna with scape about 2.6 times as long as wide, antennomeres II–VII more or less elongate, antennomere VIII small and transverse, antennomeres IX–XI (Fig. 3A) enlarged, antennomere IX broadened distally, antennomere X strongly transverse, antennomere XI stout and apically rounded. Pronotum (Fig. 3B) slightly longer than wide, PL 0.58–0.60 mm, PW 0.53–0.55 mm, sides slightly angulate at apical third. Elytra much broader than long, EL 0.73–0.78 mm, EW 1.03–1.07 mm. Metaventral processes (Fig. 3C) short, apically blunt in lateral view. Protrochanter (Fig. 3D) with short, blunt ventral projection, profemur with broad, triangular ventral projection at middle, protibia with small triangular projection at basal twothirds (Fig. 3E), and distinct spine at apex (Fig. 3F); mesotrochanter simple, mesofemur (Fig. 3G) strongly broadened; metacoxa, metatrochanter, and metafemur simple (Fig. 3H). Abdomen broad at base and narrowed posteriorly, AL 0.97–0.98 mm, AW 1.07–1.15 mm; tergite IV longest, more than twice as long as tergite V; sternite IX as in Fig. 3I. Length of aedeagus (Fig. 3 J–L) 0.57 mm; median lobe symmetric, apex flattened; elongate parameres narrowing apically.

Female. Unknown.

Distribution. China: Taiwan.

Etymology. The specific epithet is named after Wen-I Chou (Taiwan), a Taiwanese specialist of Cerambycidae who collected all the material of the new species.

Comparative notes. This new species was mentioned in a previous work (Yin 2018: 44) treating the Taiwanese Arthromelodes Jeannel, but left unnamed. Herein a formal description is given. The unique combination of the stout general body form, unmodified bot rather stout antennal clubs, dentate protibiae, and symmetric median lobe of the aedeagus is unique among the genus, leading to a quick separation from all congeners.
