Lamellisphecia wiangensis Kallies & Arita 2004

Description

Lamellisphecia wiangensis Kallies & Arita, 2004

Figs 5, 11

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Thailand, Wiang Pa Pao, 25.ix.2001, M. Ikeda leg. (Fig. 5, NSMT). Additional material: 1 ♂, same locality, 23.ix.2003, M. Ikeda leg. (NSMT) (genitalia examined, prep. AK870, Fig. 11).

This species was known only from the holotype. We can now report a second specimen from Thailand, collected at the type locality. It differs from the holotype by the more extensive yellow coloration of the abdomen, with tergite 3 being reddish orange and tergites 4 and 5 being orange-yellow almost throughout.
