Description
Bradyporus (Callimenus) conophallus Ünal, 2011
Distribution. B. (Callimenus) conophallus is endemic to Anatolia. It was recorded only from Isparta province of Turkey (Figure 1A) (Ünal 2011b; Ünal 2017).
Song recording. Male specimens collected from Turkey, Isparta, Senirkent-Şuhut road, 3 km. roadside, 38°09.33’ N, 030°43.48’ E, 950 m, 02.VII.2015 (by D. Şirin, M.S. Taylan & A. Mol) and calling song recorded from three males at 31 °C in the field (D. Şirin & M.S. Taylan).
Description of song. Nine records from three males were examined. The calling song consists of polysyllabic sequences of variable duration (0.62– 3.99 s (2.51± 0.91)) with an interval of 5– 40.66 s (14.73 ± 8.91) (Figure 1B). Sequences are consisting of 125–235 (211.67 ± 21.86) syllables. At the beginning of the sequences, the syllables are in low amplitude (nearly first 30 syllables) than the remaining syllables are in a sequence (Figure 1C). The syllable period duration varies between 11 and 16 ms (13.02 ± 1.02). The number of syllables in 100 ms is 7–8 (Figure 1C). Syllables have a crescendo structure and each of syllables includes 6–12 impulses (8.25 ± 1.28) (Figure 1D).
