Drabescus nitens
Creators
Description
Drabescus nitens (Stål)
Figs 3 A–F.
Tylissus nitens Stål, 1870: 739–740
Drabescus nitens, Zhang & Webb, 1996: 24, fig. 539
Remarks. In placing this species in Drabescus, Zhang & Webb (1996) commented that although differing in head shape from typical Drabescus (see new species Remarks above) and being smaller (approximately 7mm) the male genitalia of two males, similar to the female lectotype (all three from the Philippines), were typical of the genus (see Figs 3 G–N). However, as the genitalia of the two males represented two different species, the identity of D. nitens remains unclear.
