Description, Female (Fig. 11): Body length 2.7–3.2 mm.
Color. Head, mesosoma and first tergite mainly black; anterior margin of pronotum yellowish (Fig. 12). Metasoma mostly dark brown with a yellow stripe between tergites 2 and 3 (Fig. 13). Apex of clypeus and mandible yellowish, palpi white, antenna brownish with scape and pedicel light brown (Fig. 14). Legs mostly yellow, apical fore tarsomere all median tarsomeres, apex of femur, tibia and hind tarsus brownish. Tegula white, wings hyaline. Ovipositor sheaths light brown.
Head. Antenna with 19 flagellomeres with setae shorter than flagellomere width; first flagellomere length 3.9–5.2× width, second flagellomere length 2.3–4.1× width. Face polished with sparse setae, width 1.6× height, malar space 1.5–1.7× basal width of mandible, mandible with two teeth. Clypeus convex, pilose, truncate at margin, punctate and with long setae, width 1.3–1.6× height (Fig. 14). Eye – ocellar distance 0.9–1.3× greatest diameter of lateral ocellus.
Mesosoma. Pronotum smooth with epomia, mesopleuron smooth, with sparse setae, with epicnemial carina extending to the middle of the mesopleuron, sternaulus present only at anterior margin, mesopleural fovea punctiform, mesopleural groove smooth, posterior transverse carina of mesosternum present (Fig. 15). Mesoscutum and scutellum polished with very few punctuation, notaulus absent, prescutellar groove smooth and without carina. Propodeum polished with long hairs on lateral region, pleural carina complete, posterior transverse carinae complete and the lateral longitudinal carinae present only at the apex (Fig. 16).
Metasoma. Tergite 1 with long hairs on lateral region, mostly smooth with half posterior region rugulose and with two longitudinal carinae converging at apex, length 1.4–1.6× apical width, tergites 2–7 smooth (Fig. 18). Ovipositor short, 0.3× length of hind tibia.
Wings. Fore wing length 2.7–3.0 mm, hind wing length 1.8-2.2 mm. Portion of cubitus between intercubitus and second recurrent vein 0.83× of second recurrent vein; section dg of radiella in hind wing 0.48× of length section gh; nervellus reclivous to base.
Male. Similar to female, but metasoma missing (Fig. 17).
Comments. This species is similar to P. communis sp. nov. but differs by the body darker, metasomal terga mostly dark brown with a yellow stripe between tergites 2 and 3, and the apical carina of propodeum not curved.
Distribution: Brazil, Itamonte, MG (Fig.1).
Etymology: The name refers to the presence of a yellow stripe on metasomal tergites 2 and 3.
